CTBC’s Graduate School of Financial Management are divided into (A) the Group of Financial Administration and (B) the Group of Financial Laws. All the graduate students are required to take 42 credits (including the Master’s Thesis submission, 4 credits) to earn their Master’s degrees. The curriculum design includes the common compulsory courses, core professional compulsory courses, professional practice compulsory courses (accordingly divided into the Group of Financial Administration and the Group of Financial Law), and optional specialized courses. Furthermore, if a student of either group takes the “professional practice compulsory courses” taught in another group, they can be counted towards the credits of the “optional specialized courses” in her/his own group. Consequently, as long as the student takes ten credits of the professional practice compulsory courses taught in another group, s/he can earn the “Study Program Certificate”.
In addition, the Graduate School requires students to take prerequisite courses including economics, statistics, accounting, and financial laws. These prerequisite courses are not counted towards the graduation credits. However, those who do not fulfill all the prerequisite courses will be required to complete them in the first semester of their formal studies. Also, students must take courses in CTBC’s core values and professional ethics.
