Curriculum

Curriculum Structure of CTBC Graduate School of Financial Management

The Graduate School of Financial Management at CTBC is divided into two groups: (A) the Group of Financial Administration and (B) the Group of Financial Laws. To earn a Master’s degree, all graduate students are required to complete a total of 42 credits, which includes the submission of a Master's Thesis (4 credits). The curriculum consists of compulsory core courses, professional practice compulsory courses (which are divided into the Group of Financial Administration and the Group of Financial Laws), and optional specialized courses.

Additionally, if a student from one group takes professional practice compulsory courses offered by the other group, those credits can be counted towards the “optional specialized courses” in their own group. As a result, by completing ten credits of professional practice compulsory courses from the other group, students can earn a “Study Program Certificate.”

Furthermore, the Graduate School requires students to complete prerequisite courses in economics, statistics, accounting, and financial law. These prerequisite courses are not included in the graduation credits. Students who have not completed these prerequisites will be required to take them during the first semester of their formal studies. In addition, all students are expected to complete courses that reflect CTBC’s core values and professional ethics.
